Session 5.23 for June 9, 2013

This week, we continue our look into the life and ministry of Elijah, the prophet. In today's scripture text, we read the story of how a widow gave her last bit of bread to Elijah because he offered her hope that it would be returned with profit. More importantly, we look at a story in which two people have to rely on one another for their very survival and we are reminded of how inter-dependent we are on one another.
